Telewaving received a report today from a Nokia E90 user and mobile blogger that he managed to install Wavelog on his phone:
"I managed to get it working by enabling the installation of unsigned
applications. By default, all E-series phones have the setting "only allow
installation of signed applications". This can be found under
Applications/Settings."
We hope that this information will be useful for other mobile bloggers and owners of Nokia E-series phones powered by S60 r 3 operating system. We would appreciate your feedback.

Thanks to Joomler.net for his excellent work on Movabletype API plugin for Joomla Content Management System. We have tested the latest release 1.0.5 of the API with Joomla 1.5 and confirm that Wavelog works seamlessly with all media content types.
Now Joomla users who own Nokia phones are able to publish text, photos, audio (WAV and MP3) and videos (MP4) directly to their Joomla site from their mobile phones over any type of available network.
Happy mobile photo, video and audio blogging!

In the article on Reuters and Nokia extending their partnership, Journalism.co.uk compared their solution to Wavelog, mobile blogging client from Telewaving. The advantage of Wavelog is that with its very affordable price of $10 only and compatibility with open source content management systems like WordPress, Drupal or Joomla, it offers any Nokia smart-phone owner a possibility to become a mobile journalist.

In addition to our recent news on supporting Drupal powered Web sites, the support of Joomla comes as no surprise. Once more the Open Source community has demonstrated the flexibility and responsiveness to end user requests. Joomla community released version 1.5 stable on the 21st January 2008. Although this version is distributed with Joomla API and Blogger API plugins only, contributors from the Open Source community developed Movable Type API plugin available as an extension.
We have tested Wavelog with this API and it seamlessly posts text and uploads photos to media repository. We hope that this API will be further developed and will become a part of Joomla distribution.
Telewaving will work further in improving Wavelog compatibility with different Web publishing platforms as well as adding new features and improving the user interface.
MAKE WAVES!
